Bishop Daniel of Erie (Memory Eternal!)

Bishop Daniel was a bishop over the Russian Old believers in communion with Russia through ROCOR.
Alot of people don't know about the Old Believers and their history. Let alone the ones that came back in communion through ROCOR.

Do you know if His Grace was the Bishop when they came back into communion with the rest of Orthodoxy? I've heard before about a large group of Old Believers coming back into communion, but I'd love to see the rest of the backstory if you know anything about it.
To be honest I really don't know. I have to find out.
