10 Questions for Frank Viola Supporters
This video was made by Albert (a Traditional Anglican). He's real cool peoples. If/when I ever write a refutation of the book, I'm gonna use him as a source, his basic outline in refuting it was easy to follow.

It should be noted that the individual in these videos has NEVER contacted Frank Viola personally to dialogue or debate these issues, even though he has made himself available to do so. In addition, virtually all of these objections are answered at www.ptmin.org/answers.htm
Barna/Viola's "Pagan Christianity" wasn't a stand-alone book. The sequel is called "Reimagining Church", it's the constructive part of the discussion. He also has a new book that's the practical follow-up to both books. It's called "Finding Organic Church." Viola's article "Why I Love the Church" explains the motivation behind all three books. http://frankviola.wordpress.com/2009/08/18/why-i-love-the-church-in-praise-of-gods-eternal-purpose/
Jilliefl1,
The historical content of Reimagining Church is terrible. I found the book almost unreadable due to poor logic and bad history. IMHO, it was the worst book I read in 2008. There are deep hermeneutical flaws impacting Frank's work, and what I haven't seen is even an attempted defense of his hermeneutic.
A serious study of the first century, including the New Testament itself, absolutely screams out liturgical, eucharistic worship and prayer, and apostolic oversight of the church. That is, non-spontaneous, structured, even hierarchical and ritualistic.
Correction: I meant 2009, not 2008.
Jilliefl1,
I side with the person on these videos. And eventually......Lord willing, I will make my own refutation, but I just don't have the time now. But Frank Viola and them are just simply wrong.
