Good listen. Loved the Wesley reference. :)
I agree. Bishop Kallistos Ware is a really good teacher for people like me coming from the reformed protestant tradition. I still have my reservations, but there is something about Orthodoxy that is attractive. Bishop Kallistos has great insights into what direction the dialogue between East and West must go. I am greatful for his godly instruction.
Keven,
Yeah, I liked the Wesley reference as well.
Vinnie,
I like him too, but there are a number of Orthodox that will disagree with him on a number of issues. He mentioned a few of those in the interview. But these topics are difficult topics to cover. For on one hand you have the Ecumenical councils and their canons, but on the other hand you have to deal with modern times. And so how to apply such things in our day is not always easy. Patience and understanding must come from both sides.
