Farrell on the West and the passing on of original guilt
He is making some connections that may or may not be true. I really don't know, and so I really can't say. I'll let you be the judge.

Before the nation-states (which appeared after 1848 AD), there were multi-national empires. Now, obviously, Saint Anselm [~10th century] and Saint Augustine [4th century] did not live during the era of the nation-states. NOR are nation-states MORE "corporative" than the former empires whose de-composition led to their formation.
But he's right though that there's a legal concept called "juridical person" (as opposed to "private person").
Thanks Lvka!
