Biblical covenantial relationships
The theology section of a christian hiphop board was just closed down. I salvaged what I could from the board I posted on. A Calvinistic buddy made this statement to another Arminian on the board.
I stepped in and responded with these set of questions questions.
1.) Did God have a covenantial relationship with Adam?
2.) Did Adam loose his salvation when he broke the covenant?
3.) Did God enforce His warning to Adam?
If you answered a "yes" to all three then why can't ISRAEL loose salvation if she broke the covenant?
4.) Didn't she reject the New Covenant?
5.) What happened to all those in ISRAEL who rejected the New Covenant?
6.) Did God enforce His warning?
If the answer is yes, then why can't we loose our salvation now if we break the New covenant?
Why will God give warnings in the New Testament if He won't enforce them?
Romans chapter 11 talks about God not sparing the Jews when they stopped believing. If this is the case then why will HE spare us if we stop believing as well?
Romans chapter 11:20-21
20Granted. But they were broken off because of unbelief, and you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but be afraid. 21For if God did not spare the natural branches, he will not spare you either. What's the point of being afraid if God doesn't enforce His warnings?

"Covenantally, all of Israel were servants of God, but all of Israel weren't
saved, nor were they all considered to be saved. Servant doesn't denote
salvation. It denotes covenant relationship and covenant responsibility, but not
salvation......If a person gets 'covenant' wrong, they'll misread a lot of
scripture....."
