Zaccheus's Journy

This is from the podcast "Journeys to Orthodoxy"

As seen from the website:
"Zacchaeus was young boy in a broken home when he rejected the Baptist faith of his parents. Zacchaeus went on a Spiritual Journey into rastapharinism that finally landed him on the door step of the Orthodox Church. Zacchaeus found that rastafarianism left much to be desired, and his idol on his death bed had become Orthodox. Zacchaeus went to find out why. Listen to this young mans Journey of faith and how Bob Marley brought him to the Orthodox Church."

ello,
Pray for me a sinner,
Gleanings from Orthodox authors and Holy Fathers,
An angel fell from heaven without any other passion except pride, and so we may ask whether it is possible to ascend to Heaven by humility alone,
without any other of the virtues. St. John Climacus, "The Ladder of Divine Ascent," (Boston: Holy Transfiguration Monastery, 1978),STEP 23: On Mad Pride, and, in the Same Step, on Unclean Blasphemous Thoughts)

An old man was asked, "What is humility?"
and he said in reply,
"Humility is a great work,
and a work of God.
The way of humility is to undertake bodily labor and believe yourself a sinner and make yourself subject to all."
Then a brother said,
"What does it mean,
to be subject to all?"
The old man answered,
"To be subject to all is not to give your attention to the sins of others but always to give your attention to your own sins and to pray without ceasing to God." The Desert Fathers ..Lord Jesus Christ Son of God,have mercy on me a sinner..
Pray for me a sinner,
ICXC NIKA
